2023-12-18

OQ announced two major product launches designed to solve industry challenges and provide key sustainability benefits.

PP copolymer for food applications

OQ Luban polypropylene impact copolymer portfolio, including Luban EP 2340L, EP 2340P and EP 2348R, are set for full launch in Q4 2023.The company also expands this product portfolio with Luban EP 2348S and EP 23348T.

Luban EP 2340L with high impact and stiffness properties fits for producing crates and boxes.

Luban EP 2348R offers outstanding impact and stiffness and is suitable for producing food containers and light weight pales.

Luban EP 2348T delivers high flow, stiffness and low temperature impact and is suited for thin-walled packaging solu-tions in food applications requiring refrigeration or freezing.

LLDPE solution for liquid applications

OQ also launches Luban LL8446.21, a newLLDPE Rotomolding solution, with a wide range of water tank sizes, from the smallest models to up to 10,000L. It also offers outstanding processability including a faster grinding rate.

With outstanding durability, processability and UV stabilization, the solution enables safe, clean and reliable storage and transportation of water and other liquids.

It is ideal for water tanks, chemical containers, pallets, traffic barriers, air conditioning enclosures and refuse bins. The polymer design and resulting property balance also include outstanding ESCR and deformation under load.

"Our focus goes beyond providing just the right grade for the application and extends to offering holistic solutions backed by services tailored to meet our customers' specific needs. This enables the customers to innovate in the value chain keeping up with market trends, reducing reliance on imports," stated Trevor Robinson,Adviser, Polymer Marketing.
